Philadelphia Faith & Freedom historical tour
The Providence Forum holds historical tours of the city of Philadelphia highlighting some of the areas that are on the Faith and Freedom Map. Join renowned scholar, historian, and author Peter A.
Lillback, Ph.D., on a walking and riding tour of the sites and locations that are the
subject of decades of history, myth, and legend, and learn the true account of
how America began with prayer and devotion to God at the exact places where the
foundation was laid.
Dr. Peter Lillback will discuss how the faith of our founding fathers shaped the beginnings of our city, and our country. The city of Philadelphia has a rich history of faith and freedom, and if you'd like to find out more about it, visit our "
Map Our Freedom" page. The next multi-day tour will begin July 12
th, and you can
contact the Providence Forum for more information and how to sign up for it.

July 12 – 16, 2010
As the national “amnesia” of our nation’s founding
heritage grows at an alarming rate, and as our government leaders assert that
“the United States is not a Christian nation,” come and experience for yourself
the rich, compelling, and proud history of the men and women who applied their
Judeo-Christian worldview to laying the foundation for the longest surviving
republican democracy in the world.
This is an opportunity like no other to immerse yourself
in the days of the 18th century, when George Washington, John Adams,
Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson tread the streets of Philadelphia to
accomplish what no other people on earth had ever done before, or would ever do
again.
