Philadelphia Faith & Freedom historical tour
The Providence Forum holds historical tours of the city of Philadelphia highlighting some of the areas that are on the Faith and Freedom Map. Join renowned scholar, historian, and author Peter A.
Lillback, Ph.D., on a walking and riding tour of the sites and locations that are the
subject of decades of history, myth, and legend, and learn the true account of
how America began with prayer and devotion to God at the exact places where the
foundation was laid.
Dr. Peter Lillback will discuss how the faith of our founding fathers shaped the beginnings of our city, and our country. The city of Philadelphia has a rich history of faith and freedom, and if you'd like to find out more about it, visit our "Map Our Freedom" page. The next multi-day tour will begin July 2012, and you can contact the Providence Forum for more information and how to sign up for it.

COMING July 17 - 22, 2012
MORE INFORMATION TO BE POSTED SPRING 2012
You are invited to accompany
Dr. Peter Lillback, historian, author, and pastor, as he explains what gives
Philadelphia its unique historical significance and makes it such a
crucial location for understanding the founding of the American Republic
and its religious history.
Philadelphia
became the center of the American experiment in the late-1700s, being the place
where the First Continental Congress convened, where the Declaration of
Independence was written, signed, and read in public to the ringing applause of
the Liberty Bell, and where the United States Constitution was conceived,
debated, and formulated. No other American city can claim so many events
nor ones with such significance as the Old City of Philadelphia. The Faith
& Freedom Tour gives you the opportunity to experience these sites and the
true history of the people, prayer, places, and events that brought our nation
to life.
